What To Expect

What To Expect

Our New Patient Process

What to expect

We get it, not knowing what to expect when going to a new office can be stressful. Here at Central Health Chiropractic, we want everyone to be comfortable in our practice, and informed on our process. This is why we provide a rundown of what to expect during your first few visits. Below are all the steps in chronological order through our new patient process.

Create new patient profile

This is often done at the time you schedule your first appointment. If you are scheduling online, there are instructions in the “new patients” tab on how to build your profile . This takes no more than a couple of minutes. You can also choose to create you profile during your first visit while at the office, just arrive a few minutes early to your first appointment.

This profile will allow you to book appointments online without having to call, see all your future appointment, see your basic and health information that we have on file, make payments online and give you all the information regarding your individualized health plan. All of this information is secure and will only you can view it.

Complete Our Intake Forms:

You can complete these forms online at the time you book your first appointment, or on location at the time of your first appointment. These forms take about 5 minutes to complete. This gives us a basic overview of what we will be seeing you for, as well as provide us with any health information prudent to your care.

Initial Exam:

After you complete your paperwork, Dr. Jake will review your health information and perform a detailed exam. This exam will include neurological and musculoskeletal evaluations. Dr. Jake will also take a detailed history to ensure we know the full scope of your condition. This stage is where we uncover the true cause to your symptoms and make the determination on the most effective way to address that cause.

Following the exam, Dr. Jake will make the determination if your condition requires additional imaging. If you need X-rays or advanced imaging, Dr. Jake will refer you to your preferred site for imaging.

What to expect

Goal oriented treatment plan

Should it be determined that your condition is a good candidate for chiropractic care, a personalized treatment plan will be developed. Following the exam, Dr. Jake will review all the information acquired and develop a personalized treatment plan based on your condition and your personal health goals. In this plan, we answer 3 basic questions: What is causing the symptoms? How can we fix the cause? What to expect for your total investment?

Report of Findings:

In the follow up visit, the treatment plan developed for you based on all the information acquired in the initial exam will be presented to you. This visit is where we make the determination on how to proceed with your care. Often, there are more than one way to address your condition. You will be informed of all your options and allowed to choose the best fit for you.

Once we have come to a decision on the plan moving forward, we can create a schedule for any future appointments. This plan will include, easy to achieve, measurable goals and check points.

Your New Path to Optimum Health:

People often say the most important thing is their health. At Central Health, the health and well being of all our members is our top priority. We stand by the belief that every man, woman and child deserve to experience and express their best health possible. We believe a well cared for spine and nervous system is essential to that goal.  Additionally, we believe health is a state of optimal function, not just the absence of pain.

To that end, we believe spinal checkups are vital, even if there is no pain (yet). You are only ever given one spine. It is much easier to correct issues early than later on in life. There is no such thing as a spinal transplant. There is only one chance to take care of the one you have. We hope this was a good overview of what to expect on your first trip to a chiropractor.
