Dr Jake Boyle
Owner/Chiropractor at Central Health Chiropractic
Dr. Jake Boyle is the owner and chiropractor at Central Health Chiropractic. He was born and raised right here in central Iowa in Ankeny. It was always his goal to travel the nation, learning as much as possible, then bring his skills and knowledge to his home community of Des Moines.
After originally leaving Ankeny, he received his BA in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa. He then went to Davenport, Iowa to acquire his doctorate of chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic. While in school, he traveled the nation shadowing various doctors of chiropractic, absorbing as much knowledge as possible. He then went to work as an associate doctor for Drees Family and Sport Chiropractic in Indianola. There, he perfected his craft and had the opportunity to help thousands of people in many situations with a wide variety of conditions.
In his spare time, he participates in ultimate frisbee leagues to stay in shape and play’s recreational volleyball and soccer. He also enjoys working on design projects from furniture to entire homes. Recently, he has been a new pet owner to his cocker, spaniel Paisley.
Functional Health and Nutrition Specialist
Kelli Hanson is your local Des Moines Functional Health expert. She is a total nutrition and wellness nerd. After growing up in St. Peter, Minnesota, she studied Exercise Science at Simpson College while playing basketball and softball. She is finishing a second degree in Dietetics online through Kansas State University. She is on track to becoming a Registered Dietitian after completing her dietetic internship hours this summer and fall. Her experience with personal training, teaching yoga, nutrition counseling and nutrition advocacy has confirmed her passion for the field of health and wellness. Her mission is to help people learn how the body can heal itself (as well as prevent disease) through a healthy lifestyle.
Kelli tries to live a well balanced life but will be the first to admit she isn’t perfect. She loves cooking simple recipes, lifting weights, doing headstands, meditating, hiking, reading, going to breweries and spending time with family and friends.
Kelli believes food is medicine and health should be viewed with a holistic approach, including mind, body, and spirit.
Dominique was born here in our beautiful city of Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated at the top 6% of her high school graduating class with honors, as well as won a full scholarship to attend Iowa State University, and was also listed on the National Dean’s List from her Freshman to Senior year. Shortly after graduating from high school in 2001, Dominique enrolled in the Iowa School of Beauty in 2005, receiving her massage therapy & cosmetology license. She then studied Business Administration and Leadership Studies at William Penn University, obtaining her AA in 2007. Dominique went on excelling in her academics and strived to further her education. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a focus on Neurology and Mental Health Sciences from Ashford University in 2009. 2010 Dominique received her Certified Nursing Assistant license/ Certification and Medication Manager Certification from Des Moines Area Community College.
Before obtaining her college education, certifications, licensure, and degrees, Dominique worked in the Hospitality Industry for a few years after graduating from high school. She then decided to change her career field by diving full force into Business Administration Development Operations and Management. Dominique operated her own child care development home from 2006 until 2008. After experiencing a terrible rollover car accident where Dominique became seriously injured, breaking three ribs and several liver lacerations, she decided to relocate to Phoenix, AZ. In 2010, she returned to Des Moines, IA, to assist her parents with the declining health of her grandparents. 2014 Dominique took off for a couple of years and took on the role of a stay-at-home mom raising her daughter. In 2015 Dominique set a goal to open her own child care facility and learning academy. She utilized her education, expertise, and abilities to her advantage and opened her own therapeutics company to help raise the funding to open her learning academy.
Dominique is happy to have the opportunity to show her value, knowledge, and expertise in her practice and become a part of the staff and team here at Central Health Chiropractic.
Beth Matillano works the front desk at Central Health Chiropractic. She enjoys meeting all the clients, forming relationships, and helping out in any way she can.
Beth grew up here in Iowa, in small town Carlisle. She moved to Illinois to study music in college, and is now living in Des Moines. She enjoys being outdoors, camping, fishing, and hiking with her husband and baby boy, Bennett, who also likes to hang out at the office from time to time. In Beth’s free time she likes to paint, play board games, cook, and ride her bike. She also loves animals, especially her cat Penny.
